Our Delivery Fleet

We match the right vehicle to your order size, material type, and site conditions. Every delivery is planned by our logistics team to ensure safe, efficient transport.

Flatbed Trucks

Up to 12,000 lbs / 24 ft bed

Large timber orders, beams, long stock (16 ft+), and mixed palletized loads. Open-bed access makes forklift loading and unloading fast and safe.

Box Trucks

Up to 8,000 lbs / 16 ft enclosed

Finished, surfaced, or high-value lumber that needs weather protection during transit. Also ideal for residential deliveries where a flatbed may not fit.

LTL Freight Partnerships

Varies by carrier

Out-of-area customers, smaller orders that don't justify a dedicated truck, or shipments to states beyond our direct delivery range. We palletize, band, and shrink-wrap for safe freight transit.

Nationwide via LTL Freight

For customers beyond our direct delivery range, we ship via LTL freight through our carrier network. We palletize, band, and shrink-wrap all freight shipments to prevent shifting, moisture damage, and surface scuffing during transit. Freight quotes are generated at time of order and typically add 5–10 business days to your lead time. We've shipped reclaimed lumber to 38 states and counting.

Scheduling & Lead Times

We know construction schedules are tight. Our logistics team works with you to lock in a delivery window that aligns with your project timeline.

Standard Delivery

Scheduled within the lead times listed for your zone. We confirm a delivery date at time of order and provide a 2-hour arrival window the day before delivery.

Expedited / Rush Delivery

Need it faster? We offer next-business-day delivery within Zone 1 for in-stock items, subject to availability. Rush surcharge of 25% applies.

Staged / Phased Delivery

For large projects, we can stage deliveries in phases tied to your construction schedule. Store your lumber in our yard (free for up to 30 days) and we deliver each tranche when you need it.

Will-Call / Customer Pickup

Prefer to pick it up yourself? Our yard is open Monday through Friday 7 AM - 5 PM and Saturday 8 AM - 2 PM. We load your vehicle with our forklift at no charge.

Loading & Unloading

Getting lumber off the truck safely is just as important as getting it there. Our drivers are equipped and trained for a range of site conditions.

Truck-Mounted Forklift

Our flatbed trucks carry a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett) capable of handling up to 5,500 lbs per lift. This allows us to unload at sites without dock access, placing material exactly where you need it on the job site.

Crane Service

For heavy timber deliveries (beams over 1,000 lbs or bundles that exceed forklift capacity), we coordinate crane service through our partner network. Crane costs are quoted separately based on equipment requirements and site access.

Tailgate / Hand Unload

For smaller box truck deliveries to residential sites, our two-person crew can hand-unload and stack lumber in your garage, driveway, or staging area. Included at no additional charge for orders under 2,000 lbs.

Site Access Planning

Tight alley? Low overhead wires? Unpaved lot? Let us know during scheduling. We select the right vehicle and plan the approach route to avoid delays and damage. For complex sites, our driver will do a pre-delivery site visit.

Freight Preparation Standards

Stickering: Spacer sticks placed between layers for airflow and to prevent surface-to-surface contact during transit.
Banding: Steel or poly banding secures the load to the pallet, preventing shifting under braking and cornering forces.
Shrink Wrapping: Industrial shrink wrap protects against rain, road spray, and surface scuffing. Ventilation slits prevent trapped moisture.
Corner Guards: Cardboard and foam corner guards protect edges and ends from forklift and handling damage at carrier terminals.
Documentation: Every pallet ships with a packing list, species/grade tags, and moisture content readings at time of shipping.

Packaging & Protection Standards

Reclaimed lumber represents significant value — both financial and historical. Our packaging standards are designed to protect that value from the moment material leaves our yard until it arrives at your job site. Every delivery, regardless of size, follows the same preparation protocol.

Stickering: All bundled lumber is stickered with clean, dry spacer strips between each layer. Stickers are placed at 24-inch intervals and vertically aligned to prevent bowing. This allows airflow between boards during transit and prevents surface-to-surface contact that can cause moisture staining or finish damage.

Banding: Bundles are secured with steel or heavy-duty polyester banding at minimum 36-inch intervals along their length. Corner protectors are placed at every banding point to prevent edge crush on the outermost boards. For high-value or finish-ready material, we use padded banding with foam inserts.

Wrapping: Enclosed box truck deliveries provide inherent weather protection. For flatbed deliveries, all material is wrapped in industrial shrink film with ventilation slits that prevent moisture entrapment while protecting against rain, road spray, and UV exposure. High-value material (select-grade flooring, furniture components, custom millwork) receives additional furniture-blanket protection.

End sealing: Freshly milled boards, particularly hardwoods, are prone to end-checking during transit due to rapid moisture loss from exposed end grain. We apply end-grain sealer to all processed hardwood before packaging, reducing the risk of check formation during the critical first 48 hours after milling.

Delivery Insurance & Damage Policy

All material in transit is covered by our commercial cargo insurance policy. This provides protection against damage from traffic incidents, weather events, improper loading, and other transit-related risks. Our coverage limits are:

  • Motor Truck Cargo: $100,000 per shipment — covers the full replacement value of most orders
  • Commercial Auto Liability: $1,000,000 combined single limit — covers bodily injury and property damage at delivery sites
  • General Liability: $2,000,000 per occurrence — covers damage to customer property during unloading operations
  • Workers' Compensation: Statutory limits — covers our drivers and crew on your job site

Damage claims:If material arrives damaged, document the damage with photographs before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage on the receipt itself. Contact us within 24 hours and we will arrange replacement material at no charge. For freight shipments via third-party carriers, photograph damage at time of delivery and note it on the carrier's bill of lading — this is essential for filing carrier claims.

Order Tracking & Delivery Communication

We believe that good delivery service is as much about communication as it is about logistics. Here is what you can expect from the moment your order is confirmed through final delivery.

Order confirmation: Within one business day of placing your order, you receive a written confirmation email detailing the material specification, quantity, processing requirements, estimated completion date, and delivery window. This confirmation serves as your order reference for any future communication.

Processing updates: For orders requiring custom milling or kiln drying, we provide progress updates at key milestones: when material enters the kiln, when it exits, when milling begins, and when the order is packaged and ready for delivery.

Delivery scheduling: Once your order is ready, our logistics team contacts you to schedule a delivery date. We provide a 2-hour arrival window and confirm it the day before delivery. On the day of delivery, your driver will call 30 minutes before arrival so you or your crew can prepare the site for unloading.

For LTL freight shipments:We provide the carrier's PRO number (tracking number) once the shipment is picked up. You can track delivery progress through the carrier's website. We also provide the carrier's customer service number in case you need to reschedule or add delivery instructions.
